Email and twitter alerts are now active for DHL and Canada Post. The 7 day uptime is also listed and the 30 day uptime will be available starting December 1st.

11/1/2017 - Monitoring DHL & Canada Post

We have recently added DHL and Canada Post's API to our monitoring service. We're still acquiring historical data so we do not have 7 Day or 30 Day uptimes listed yet, and we are not yet sending alerts for them via Twitter or Email. Alerts and the 7 day uptime will begin next week.

1/20/2014 - FedEx Monitoring Resolved

The FedEx maintenance on 1/18/2014 included a change which broke our monitoring of their API. Even though their system came back online our monitoring script was continuing to see a failure. We use a third party shipping API tool for PHP called RocketShip.it, which upon upgrading to their newest release (v1.2.7.0 01/19/2014) resolved our connection issue and FedEx monitoring is now working correctly.

Based on RocketShip.it's change log, in August they upgraded their implementation of the FedEx Ship API to v12, which is most likely the fix we needed for our monitoring system. We can not be sure as we do not know exactly what FedEx changed with their most recent maintenance. If your online store is no longer working with FedEx after this change you may have a similar issue. Check with with your developer or your software's support to see if an upgrade is required to resolve it.

1/19/2014 - FedEx Monitoring Incorrect

After the FedEx maintenance on 1/18 our monitoring of their API has been failing even though their API is back up and online. We are reviewing the issue to see if something with the API has changed which is resulting in a fake "Down" report in our system.

12/30/2013 - FedEx Outage Update

Our tracking for this weekend shows 32 small outages for FedEx totalling 117 minutes of total downtime, which all fall within their scheduled outage window of 10pm 12/28 - 2am 12/29. (See the prior news entry below for the outage details.) It appears their system was sporadically up and down during the outage which is why our tests sometimes connected successfully, resulting in the long list if outages.

In order to not bombard subscribers with notifications, our Twitter and Email notifications are only sent after 3 consecutive minutes of downtime or uptime. So if you're wondering why the outage list is long but you only received 1 set of outage notifications that would be why.

8/26/2013 - Outage Notifications by Email!

Email Notifications are now available for API outages! Use the signup form on the right side of any page to subscribe and we'll email you anytime your selected APIs are offline for 3 consecutive minutes and again when they are back up and stable for 3 consecutive minutes.

7/24/2013 - RSS Feeds

We now have RSS Feeds available! Click on the orange RSS icon in the menu above to see the options. The feeds contain each outage as they occur. They are available for individual APIs as well as a combined feed with all the APIs we monitor.

7/9/2013 - Announcing Shipping API Monitor

LexiConn Internet Services announces the release of Shipping API Monitor, an automated online service which monitors the shipping APIs of FedEx, UPS, and USPS.
